i am a 22-year-old software developer from haarlem, netherlands. after graduating from roc amsterdam in 2021, i started my career as a junior software engineer at synetic. three months later i moved to autodisk, where i currently work as a front-end developer, mainly with vue and nuxt.
outside of work, i have a few hobbies that keep me busy. i love riding my yamaha mt-07 motorcycle — it's a great way to relax and feel free. when i'm not on the bike, i make beats in fl studio. i enjoy experimenting with sounds, and you can listen to some of my work at the bottom of the page.
i also enjoy working with wood, turning raw pieces into something useful. the smell of freshly cut wood always makes it worthwhile. a few times a year i play airsoft with friends, a fun way to stay active and enjoy some competition. recently i started mountain biking again and i'm really enjoying it. i also make videos in davinci resolve, which you can watch on youtube.
my portfolio contains a collection of small projects, almost all viewable on my github. these projects reflect my growth as a developer and my passion for experimenting with different technologies.
the biggest project i've worked on so far is this website. i handled every aspect of the project — from planning and creating wireframes to designing the layout, writing the content, building the site, and optimizing it for seo before launching online. it was an incredibly fun and valuable learning experience.
if you're interested in how everything came together, the code files, design files, and content for this website are also available on my github. feel free to explore my work and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
in this project i contributed to the development of the royal frieslandcampina website. my work focused on both back-end and front-end. on the back-end i worked with drupal, handling updates, developing new features, and site building. on the front-end i used twig for templates and scss for styling the website.
in this project i worked on the development of the tbi website, where i handled both back-end and front-end tasks. on the back-end i worked with drupal, implementing updates and new features. on the front-end i used twig for templates and scss for styling.
for this project i worked on the bam website, where i was responsible for site building in drupal. this included setting up and configuring the site, implementing the necessary modules, and ensuring an efficient structure.
i'm available on workdays from 08:00 to 17:00. you can send me an email or leave a message on my social media. if you have questions, don't hesitate to get in touch and i'll do my best to help. keep in mind that i'm not a daily social media user, so responses there may take longer. email is always the fastest way to reach me, and i look forward to hearing from you!
my first camera was a canon eos m10, which i bought for vlogging, but i quickly realized it didn't meet my needs. later i tried making cinematic videos, but the quality wasn't good enough, so i sold the camera.
after that i bought a second-hand panasonic lumix g7, which i enjoyed more, but i still wanted better quality and low-light performance. since i wasn't ready to invest more at the time, i sold this camera too.
two years later i needed a camera for my website. after looking at expensive studio options, i decided to invest in something that would meet my needs. i bought a panasonic lumix s5 with a second-hand lumix s 20–60mm lens, which delivered the high-quality images i was looking for. i also added a compact travel camera — the panasonic lumix lx7 — small, a bit older, but still perfect for traveling.
my journey into making music began during my first year at vocational school, alongside starting as a software developer. a friend of mine, who had been playing piano for years, was inspired by someone in his class to start making beats.
one day i saw him and a few others still at school after 17:00, and my curiosity outweighed my hesitation. at first i was reluctant to join, but something pushed me to check it out — and i'm glad i did. the beats i heard immediately caught my attention and motivated me to give fl studio another try.
i had tried fl studio before but gave up quickly because it felt too complicated. this time i decided to stick with it. i went through tutorials to learn how the program worked and practiced by recreating beats from my spotify playlist. the more i practiced, the more fun it became, and over time it grew into a creative outlet i'm passionate about.
